Arrival

For those of you arriving on the 4th and 5th of September, transport from Edinburgh Airport to the conference venue has been organised.

In order to use this transport, we must have your arrival flight details by the end of tomorrow (31st of August). Thanks to all of you who gave these details either at registration or more recently by email. If you have not yet given your arrival flight number and time than please send them to Ozgur Akgun who has kindly agreed to collate them.

Once we have your details, you will be met at the airport by a member of Edinburgh Select Travel who will advise you on where and when your transport will be leaving from.

If for any reason you are not met by this service such as your flight being delayed than please phone: +44 (0)7968 156472. If this number diverts, please let this happen.

If all else fails call Karen Petrie on +44 (0)7966 521636 and she will try to sort out any issues from St Andrews.

There is no transport to the conference on any other arrival dates. You can organise your own service at: St Andrews Direct and this page gives full details of other means of getting to St Andrews. Please note a Taxi from Edinburgh Airport to St Andrews is at least £50.

Departure

Buses will run from New Hall to Edinburgh Airport at the end of the conference as follows:

We will ask you to sign-up for one of these bus services during conference registration.

Location

The conference takes place in the Physics Building of the University of St Andrews. It is marked on this map. It is a short walk from New Hall, where many delegates will be staying.

This map gives locations of all conference venues including the social program, and also town restaurants, cafes, pubs and attractions.

Registration

Registration will be open Sunday 5th of September in New Hall from 7pm to 9pm. There will be a member of the local organising committee in the bar from noon to answer questions.

Registration will be open from 8:30am in Physics on Monday the 6th of September.

Computing

Internet will be available in New Hall rooms using wired ethernet, so please bring an ethernet cable (RJ45) if you need access in your bedroom (cables may be available on site). Wireless internet will be available in the conference venues. Eduroam may be available for registered users.
